I want to write but I really have nothing much to share. Doesn't make for particularly interesting reading material, I'm afraid.
At the moment I have pizza in the oven for the kids. Traditionally we always have pizza for dinner on Thursday nights. But since we're low carbing it, Glenn and I have given up pizza. We're having parmesan chicken breasts with mushrooms and green beans. It's really good, actually, but yeah -- I'd love to have a slice of pizza!
I"ve been eagerly anticipating the arrival of the mail each day. I am expecting packages from both Borders.com and Barnesandnoble.com. I had gift cards from my birthday, so I decided to treat myself. I ordered The Help by Kathryn Stockett (which I've heard is amazing), Cruise Confidential by Brian David Bruns (in preparation for our cruise to Bermuda this summer), and finally a book called Foolsgold: Making Something from Nothing and Freeing Your Creative Process by Susan G. Wooldridge. So, within a few days I should have plenty of reading material! I've been having trouble finding a book I can really sink my teeth into lately. I've picked up at least a half dozen books from the library (both regualr and audio books), and I just haven't been able to get into any of them. I wonder if it's the books or my attention span, which seems rather short these days!
Glenn thinks it might be Cabin Fever, and he may be right. A nice dose of spring would do me good. Honestly, it's summer that I'm dreaming about. We're going to spend a week as a family at Ferry Beach in Maine, and I can't wait. Glenn and I are also taking a cruise to Bermuda this summer. It's been a LONG time since we've vacationed without the kids. (They will be staying with their grandparents.) And I absolutely love Bermuda. I've often asked Glenn if he would consider moving there. He just looks at me like I'm crazy, but I'm serious. Why not? It's beautiful there. The people are warm and friendly. It would be a great place to live. But I'm just going to have to settle for a week there this summer!
Okay, the pizza's ready to come out of the oven. Gotta run.
